life is busy

Well, the holiday season is here and alot has gone on in the past couple of months. School is almost half way done and im drowning in hmwrk for honors classes. im excited for break to start. Rock climbing is amazing as always, i love my team! im heading out to a comp in oregon next weekend and im getting psyched!! im hoping to climb a lot more and maybe head out doors and crush on the real stuff. so far i havent gotten hurt so im crossing my fingers it will stay like that :)
this weekend my mom got first place at a cookie exchange. (she mad
e a native latin american cookie) i also volunteered at a festival called Redmond Lights. it was a blast. its was a great way to start the holidays! the HUSKIES won the apple cup, thank god! but sadly the BEAVERS lost the civil war :( at least half my pride is still
in tacked.

overall life takes up a lot of time but so far so good :D

Ketchup.. hehe

So, A-Champs was a BLAST!! it was at KCAC (king county aquatic center), the coolest pool i have ever swam at, its an Olymic size pool shrunk to two 25yrd pools. 1 of my relays got 7th and the other got 8th (out of 16) and my team got 8th overall (out of 26).... it was loads of fun... the sad thing is, no more swim team for a year :*(...

after swim team ended, my mom and i went to ontario, canada... when we got there we took a road trip with a fried of my moms and her daughter... the best part is that we were cramped in a mini cooper :D... other than that, it was a blast!

now im doing rowing every weekday till school starts... its really fun but hard.

im happy school is startng soon and cant wait to be a 9th grader.

thats about everyting

Prelims... AKA semi-finals

Monday was Prelims and i was so excited to be at my first prelims... all of us were wishing so hard to do great.. and... we ALL did!!!... every single person on my team that made it to prelims moved on to A-Champs (Finals)... both my medley and free relays placed 8th, so now at
A-Champs we will be competing against to top eight and scoring big points for our team!! the only downside is that A-Champs is tomorrow so we have to wake up at 5AM to make it there by6:45ish... BLAH!!... its going to be a long, exhausting, and GREAT day!!!

Crazy Life!!

i have had a non-stop, crazy, and an extremely exhausting summer so far. swim season has come and gone so amazingly fast. i was shocked how much climbing effected my swimming (in a positive way)... in my first 13 races i got first. last night (Thursday) was the last meet of the season, now all that's left is prelims and league champs... I'm SOO pumped!! ...most of my summer has been focused on swimming but i try and kee
p my life as balanced as possible. we have a exchange student from Spain here. she is nice and fits right in w
ith my family, its been a blast havin her here but she is leaving in two weeks :(...
also,
in two weeks i leave to Toronto, Ontario with my mom for vacation... this will be my ONLY time to relax this summer cause after i get home i start rowing everyday at 7am... Blah!!... today my dad and i head out on a small two day road trip to Forks, Ruby Beach, and other places (that i don't remember the names of) ...i love and hate having such a busy life... but it keeps me wondering whats gona happen next, so life is never boring.

SUMMER!!!

the stress of school is finally gone! today was the first full day of summer and it was fun, but COLD!... swim meets have started and rock climbing on team, for me is now down to just Fridays. my friend and i went climbing at Vertical World Redmond this weekend and had a blast leading while most of the team was at devotionals. i am soooo proud of my team mates for doing so well (and my coaches for helping everyone get so far) and wish the ones who made it nationals the best of luck... I LOVE U ALL!...
swim team is a blast, as normal...im working on getting a 25.59 in my 50yrd freestyle to beat the pool record (im at a 28.02s). my relays dominate with A times (BDQs) in both the medley and free 200yrd relay, at B meets im left to swim only 50yrd breast stroke and back stroke, and 100 IM.. Blah!... Overall the first day of summer rocked!! its going to be a great Summer!

SIDE NOTE: i will add pictures once i upload to my computer..

Vashon Island

today was a day of adventure with the family. my mom and dad decided it would be fun to go to Vashon Island for the day since we have never been there before. my brother and i had no clue where we were going, all we knew was we were going to spend most of the day in our cramped car. we all piled in to our ford escape around 12pm and headed to the ferry. it wasn't the nicest of days but we grinned and bared it. when we got there we spent most of our time in down town and ate at the Hardware Store. it was AMAZING food! after eating we headed out to the lighthouse. to my dads dismay, the lighthouse was small. oh well. on the beach though, my mom and i went camera happy and took pictures of rock, shell and piece of drift wood we could find. it was a fun, interesting, and slightly adventurous day on Vashon Island for me and my family, well maybe not my brother (he read through most the trip).

regionals... the end is almost here and a new beginning starts

this weekend was SCS (Sport Climbing Series) regionals. i didnt do as well as i had hoped but im a now prepared to come back next year and completely crush. it has been a great learning. next year it will be my year. i have had so much fun climbing with my friends and getting so strong. Swim team is started and im looking forward to A times and hopefuly getting a 25 sec 50 yrd free style to beat the record... fingers crossed. its a large goal but ill still try. last year my best time was 29sec so if i get a quicker dive and faster turn ill be golden. i put 200% into all my sports but know there is room for error. as climbing season comes to an end, swim season comes to an open and i say goodbye to the fear of falling and hello to the fear of running out of breath. My arms will no longer get pumped but now go numb. there is still about a month left of Vertical World team so i will not say all my goodbyes till next year yet. as a new year comes i am prepared to brake records in swimming and crush like i have never crushed before in climbing.

GO SOUNDERS!!!

on Saturday i went to a sounders soccer game with my dad after yearbook camp. this game was my first real sounders game. i went once before but a long time ago and they weren't a big team. the match was against the Columbus crew and sadly we tied (blah refs). i had tons of fun with my dad! our seats were amazing. we stood the entire game and the fans are so supportive. before going to the game we had a couple of hours extra so we walked all the way to westlake to eat and back to quest field... blah LONG walk but it was worth it. GO SOUNDERS!

Team practice

Last night at practice we we did circuits and grueling nines. i have only completed one of the three circuits but I'm working on the rest :). Nines are...ugh... but help with endurance so they're important. I was SO sore after and today, i could barley open my hands. I know it comes with the teritory and someday im going to be beast!
